Contrary to popular belief there are a number of various Government Assistance Programs that are available to Buyers meeting specific requirements.
Some of these programs are centered around Community Redeveloment Initiatives, while others are designed to assist First Time Homebuyers or Lower Income families. There are also special programs that are available for Public Service Employees such as Teachers or Police Officers. Veterans may be eligible for a Guaranteed Loan through the Department of Veterans Affairs or California Veterans. Most Government programs are typically made available at a State, County, or Local City basis.
